On Wednesday last week we were delighted to have a visit from the Lifetime Lab for an electricity workshop. The investigative workshop was entitled ‘House of Circuits’.

We investigated how to make an electrical circuit and explore different types of circuits. Our first task was to find out how to light the bulb. We then fitted the bulb into our house,so as to light up the sitting room. We were all very quick to find the solution and create an excellent series circuit.
We explored conductors and insulators and learned that conductors are materials that allow electricity to flow through them, while insulators do not. We tested different materials and discovered that metals conduct, while plastic and wood do not.
We thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and now we know so much about electricity.
