If you need to take a break, why not try some of these fun ideas.

Activities

Go for a short walk/run.

Jog on the spot for 60 seconds.

Balance on one leg for 30 seconds, then swap over.

How many keepie- uppies can you do with a football?

Make a target on a wall (away from a window) and see how many times you can hit it with a ball.

Can you do a pushup?

Can you dance for 60 seconds without any music?

Can you head a ball three times in a row?

Can you touch your toes(without bending your kness)?

Can you hold your breath for 30 seconds while hopping on one foot?

Name as many objects as you can that you would find in a kitchen/garden/classroom.

How many smaller words can you make from the words: sometimes/reasonable/combination?

Take a dry teabag and a cup. Place the cup on a table or work top, take 10 steps back and see how many times you can throw the teabag into the cup in a minute. For a greater challenge take more steps back. Record to beat: 2 shots in 1 minute.

Take an apple and see how long you can balance it on your head without it falling off. If you are feeling brave, try doing it with an egg (Not recommended). Record to beat: 54seconds.

Walk into the kitchen and silently start stacking as many cans on top of each other as possible. Time yourself to see how long it takes for someone to catch you. The longer you can keep stacking things without being caught, the better your time. Challenge yourself by stacking cutlery also. Time to beat 2min 26 seconds.

Stand on one leg while closing your eyes. It’s trickier than you might think. Time stops when you put your other foot down or lose balance. Record to beat 31 seconds. For a real challenge, do the opposite, close your legs and stand on one eye (just joking).

Flip a coin until you get four heads in a row. For a greater challenge, see if you can get six heads in a row.

Can you say your alphabet backwards? Here’s a hint to get you started, z,y,x,w…..

Close your eyes and see if you can draw your own face or any object on a piece of paper. Open your eyes and check your results. So easy you could do it with your eyes closed!

How many objects beginning with the letter T can you say in a minute? Record to beat is 17 objects. Change the letters for hours of fun, well actually 26 minutes of fun but you get the idea!

Learn to wiggle your eyebrows, it takes a bit of practice!

Make your bed without using your hands.

Build a house of cards.

Stack your school books so that they make a tower taller than you.

Learn to juggle with rolled up pairs of socks.

Try to have a conversation with someone without using the words ‘ah’, ‘yeah’,’okay’ or ‘my’. See how long you can last .

Put on your socks without using your hands.

Move around your house or garden but you can only turn left. Time yourself to see how long it takes you to make a mistake.
