Hear stories of Ireland come to life with more than 25 downloadable Abarta Audio Guides. These tales from Irish history, archaeology, myth and legend are researched and beautifully produced by the experts at Abarta Heritage.  These audio guides are designed to lead you around some of Ireland’s most iconic landscapes, but they can also be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.

The Placenames Database of Ireland was created by Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge in collaboration with The Placenames Branch (Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht). This is a comprehensive management system for data, archival records and placenames research conducted by the State. It is a public resource for Irish people at home and abroad, and for all those who appreciate the rich heritage of Irish placenames.

What is Histropedia?

Can you imagine getting a register from Wikipedia of all the notable people born on any given day, not in a list form, but in a chronologically-ordered timeline, with their achievements, photos and birthdays? Well now you can!

Histropedia is a website that visualises different events in the form of a timeline, usually using a category from Wikipedia or a live query on Wikidata.
