This week we were delighted to welcome Carol Leonard from Cork Mental Health to our school to talk to sixth class about mental health and well-being.
Carol gave us a wonderful presentation and highlighted for us the importance of minding our physical and mental health. We received some great tips to help us going forward.
1. Exercise every day and get fresh air.
2. Eat healthy food.
3. Get 10/11 hours sleep every night.
4. Talk to an adult you trust about how you are feeling.
5. Ask questions if you are worried about something.
6. Spend time with your family and friends.
7. Be confident and believe in yourself.
8. Have fun and keep up your hobbies.
9. Be yourself and don’t just follow the crowd.
10. Be nice to each other.



We found the talk very inspiring and informative and we will all certainly do our very best to follow these recommendations.
