Fifth and sixth classes were delighted to welcome Shazia from the Lifetime Lab for workshops today. We saw the ‘Real Map of Ireland which includes Ireland’s sea territories and depths. We learned about marine animals and plants . We are very interested in biodiversity and look forward to working on projects in this area in November.
Marine pollution is an area of great interest to us and we look forward to raising awareness of same in our school. We are going to work in groups following our own particular interests and will present our projects to Shazia when she returns in November.
It was a most worthwhile workshop where we all engaged so willingly.
