The boys in Mr O’Shea’s 3rd Class have been putting in a huge effort with their reading and writing over the past few months.
As a result of this, each boy got to select a book of their choice that they would love for Christmas. Horrid Henry, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Football Superstars and David Williams were popular books that the boys in 3rd Class love reading!
The boys understand the importance of selecting a book that interests them. We have learned about the 5 finger rule when choosing a book! We are really enjoying reading in 3rd Class and have 15 minutes of DEAR time every day! This makes reading fun and special. The boys in 3rd Class are also making connections between the books they are reading and real life!
We can’t wait to read more books when we return to school after the Christmas Break!
