Our student council has discussed road safety recently. We are all aware of the many deaths on our Irish roads involving both pedestrians and drivers.
Much discussion has taken place in our classes as to how we can prevent these unnecessary tragedies. In conjunction with this and to raise awareness of safety on our roads we ran an art competition for classes from third to sixth.
Many fantastic posters were designed and the judges had an unenviable task in picking out the winners. The boys received cash prizes and were delighted. A huge ‘Thank You ‘ to our wonderful Parents’ Association for the prizes.
