The boys in Mr. O’Shea’s 3rd class described World Book Day as ‘the best day ever’.
The boys embarked on an exciting trip to Eason’s bookshop in Wilton where they got to select their very own book to take home, igniting their passion for reading and expanding their literary horizons. World Book Day is a wonderful occasion to celebrate the joy and importance of reading, and what better way to mark the occasion than by selecting a new book to treasure.
During Maths, the class voted on their favourite author and they drew bar graphs showing the results. As part of our English writing, the boys wrote a piece on their favourite book.
Finally, we also did Buddy reading with Ms. Collins’s Junior and Senior Infants which was lots of fun.
Happy World Book Day from all the boys in 3rd class!
