Today we were delighted to welcome back our past pupil John Linehan Duggan to sixth class. John is now in second year in Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh in Bishopstown and has had great success in national debating competitions having been awarded the All Ireland prize when he was in first year.
John is now off to represent CSN in Oxford University in an upcoming debating competition. The sixth class boys were delighted to be guided in a debate in class by John today.
Our motion was ‘This house would ban all zoos’.
Very interesting points were made by both sides and we are very grateful to John for visiting today.
