4th Class School Tour in Tralee

Wednesday 12th June 2024

Today the boys in Mr Bergin’s and Ms Mc Gloin’s fourth classes set out for their school trip to Tralee. The boys had a great day out learning in the Kerry Museum and having fun at the Aquadome.

Kerry Museum

We arrived at the Kerry Museum for 10:15. The boys enjoyed a quick snack in the lovely sunshine before heading into the museum. After being split into two groups the boys got a chance to explore the Tom Crean room and engage in an archaeological dig. The boys gained lots of information about native Kerry explorer and hero, Tom Crean, who we had studied earlier this year. The archeological dig was a big hit as the boys grabbed trowels and brushes to excavate some interesting artefacts.

Aquadome

After working as historians and archaeologists it was time to head over to the Aquadome. The sun was shining and we enjoyed a walk through the park stopping quickly for another short snack.

The boys had a great time on the slides, lazy river and in the wave pool in the Aquadome. A great day as had by all! We returned to school before 4:00 pm, with everyone feeling tired but happy from the day’s adventures. It was a memorable day for all, filled with new experiences and knowledge and lots of fun!
