TWIST

In March our class were told that we were going to perform a show. At first I was skeptical but after the audition, I couldn’t wait. After we auditioned it was about a week later and we were in Miss Moynihin’s room practicing for the confirmation. Miss Moynihin told us our roles and I was narrator two. I was so excited.

 About a week before Easter Chloe gave us a script. After our break, the whole school started their preparations. There was a great buzz around the school. On Tuesday Chloe came into our class and told us that we would sing ‘Pick a pocket or two’. Our class were exited about it. Me and Peter had a solo together. We were excited about it. Me and Peter practiced together. It was about two weeks away from the show. Chloe came in every day and took us for practice. There was a lot of hard work before the show.

 It was Friday, 3 days before the show so we performed it in front of the school so they could see all the hard work from all the classes put together. The people were so happy with the performance. It was Monday. The stage arrived and was being built by the crew. A little while later, Chloe called us down to practice. Eden and Aileen were downstairs. Eden was here for sound and controlling the sound of the mics. Aileen was here for lightning. We were all fitted for mics so they would fit perfectly for the day of the show.

On Tuesday morning I woke up at half past seven. I got into my costume and I dirtied up my face and headed down to school. Mr Collins came out for us at twenty to nine. When I got upstairs, I dropped off my bag. I went downstairs. When we went down Chloe told us to put on a mic belt. Then Aileen put on my mic. We practiced for a while. Then we went back up to class. We were told to come down at half past ten. The first show went really well. I was so happy. We had to back down to school at six o’clock. I went down to the show. We all were so excited. The show went really well. The next day we came into school. We got ready for the show. I was so excited. The show went really well. We then went home. That night I got ready for the show. It was the finale. I was so excited. The show went amazing. Then Mr Kelly gave a speech. Then Chloe and Aileen were presented with flowers. Then Chloe gave a speech. I had a lump in my throat. Then Chloe said ‘I have three scholarships’. Then Jamie got the first one. Tsikhan got the second one. Then I heard my name. I burst out in tears with joy. I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy. I have so many memories. Like when Chloe gave me a scholarship and how good of a time I had. Thank you to Chloe, Aileen, Eden,  Miss Dwyer, Miss Crowley for all the help we were given. I will never forget it.

I cant wait to go to the camp with Tsikhan and Jamie.
