As the year comes to an end, the boys in fourth class have been having lots of fun. The boys have put in tremendous work this year. There were lots of fun treats this week as a reward for all of their hard work.
Maths Board Games
This week Ms Mc Gloin’s class put lots of effort into creating their own maths board games. Showing off the math skills which they have learned this year, the boys created some wonderful games on different themes such as fractions, operations and shapes! The boys showed off their artistic and engineering skills in creating some very clever and detailed games. They enjoyed both creating and playing their games working in teams on their creations!

A trip to Togher Park
On Monday the two fourth classes came together for a trip to Togher Park. The boys played football, enjoyed the playground and were even lucky to get a treat of an Ice Pop! A lovely way to enjoy a sunny day.

Fostering a Love for reading:
The boys were delighted to receive their third take home novel this year. The boys were eager to dive into their new books so we headed out into the sunshine for fifteen minutes of reading. From thrilling mysteries to heartwarming tales of friendship, everyone was eager to delve into new worlds and characters. This initiative not only encourages a love for reading but also fosters independent learning and imagination, enhances vocabulary and comprehension skills, and sparks creativity.

Reading for 15 minutes every day over the summer would be a huge support for the boys going into fifth class next year. Happy reading boys!

A trip to McDonalds
On Thursday Mr. Bergin and Ms Mc Gloin brought the two fourth classes to McDonalds. Eager and full of energy, they set off, chatting and laughing along the way. The walk gave the boys a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful sunshine. The boys were delighted with their happy meal and treats after the long walk.

A big thank you from Ms Mc Gloin and Mr. Bergin for all of the hard work, great fun and enjoyable memories we have made together in fourth class. Have a great summer boys!
