On a sunny Friday afternoon, the second class boys set off on an autumn walk with their teachers Ms Curran and Mr O’Shea. One pupil described it as “a satisfying trek on a carpet of crunchy leaves.”
It certainly was, as the Wella pathway resembled an autumnal rainbow – various hues of red, orange, yellow, brown and gold, as well as a few evergreens, swirled above and beneath us as we all marvelled at this magical tree canopy in the heart of Togher.
The boys collected a great array of leaves and we look forward to sorting and identifying each of them next week! How lucky are we to have such a fantastic resource on our doorstep!
