If you go down to the woods today….

The boys in infants had a great time visiting Farran Forest Park today. The boys have been busy learning all about signs of Autumn and types of trees in school and got a chance to put their learning into action while exploring the forest. We looked for different deciduous and evergreen trees. The boys examined different leaves and used leaf identifiers to identify each tree. We found oak, birch , holly , sycamore , beech and many other trees.

The boys saw some of our native wildlife and got up close with some hungry deer! We also saw many species of birds as we walked through the forest. After all our exploring the boys were hungry and sat down to have a snack followed by some fun in the playground before we made our way back to school!
