Autumn Time In Farran Woods

The boys enjoyed a lovely trip to Farren Woods last Friday. This stunning park has a diverse mixture of tree species. We used this as the perfect opportunity to teach the students about Autumn colours, leaf shapes, tree parts and identified different sizes of leaves and trees.

The boys explored the natural habitat and used their imaginations to change it into their own woodland playground. They loved climbing trees, exploring areas off the main paths, balancing on large branches that they found abandoned on the ground. These little explorers even found a rope to do a little rock climbing!

The wildlife enclosure holds a herd of Red and Fallow deer along with some very friendly ducks. This was a highlight for the boys, along with their picnics of course!
