Congratulations to Alex in 5th class who recently was crowned Togher Scouts Cub of the Year. Here is Alex describing the experience in his own words.
Yesterday I won the best trophy of my life! I Won Cub of The Year! I am so happy with myself. I remember it like it was yesterday because it was yesterday. I was listening to James talk about scouts and he was looking for volunteers to be a scout leader and blah blah blah. After all of that my friend Alex Long got invested and now he is a proper cub scout, my brother also got invested too. Then they gave out the beavers trophies and Masa got beaver of the year and then the cub of he year was me.
It took me a long time to get it. I had to show up to every scout meeting in my uniform with my neckerchief and help people if they got stuck tying knots or pioneering and I had to take part on everything. I had to plant seeds and the grew into sunflowers and one of them grew into tomato but it was rotten as my dad said but we just hate them well I know I do but my dad does love onions, are my Dads favorite food. My favorite food Is cucumber but I think we are getting off track, so I made a triangle, pyramid and a square out of bamboo and that is called pioneering.
