New Books!
The boys in fourth class all recieved a new book for World Book Day, thanks to Children’s Books Ireland.
Book Tasting
Ms Mc Gloin’s fourth class invited Mr. Bergin’s class to their book tasting event on World Book Day. The boys chose a book they would like to preview from a menu of genres. Orders were taken and books delivered to tables to be sampled and rated. We had great fun. It was a great opportunity to try out some new books and celebrate reading.
Togher Boys River of Reading
Ms Mc Gloin’s fourth class surveyed all of the classes in the school to see what the most popular books and authors were amongst individual year groups. We then created a River of Reading display of these books. Everyone has their own unique journey with reading. How our tastes, preferences and ability changes as we grow is something which can be looked back on with fond memories.
