On a bright and exciting morning, our Fourth Class pupils set off on their much-anticipated school tour to Tralee, Co. Kerry. Spirits were high as the bus rolled into town, and our first stop was the lovely playground next to the Kerry County Museum. The children enjoyed a quick snack and had time to stretch their legs before heading into the museum.
Inside the museum, the class took part in two activities. First, they became young archaeologists, taking part in a hands-on dig and learning all about how archaeologists uncover clues from the past. It was both educational and great fun, with everyone getting involved and discovering something new. Next, the group journeyed back in time with a walk through medieval Tralee. The museum’s immersive exhibits brought the history of the town to life, with sights, sounds, smells and scenes that gave the children a real sense of what life was like hundreds of years ago.
After all that learning and exploring, it was time to cool off and have some fun at the Aquadome. The boys had a brilliant time splashing in the rapid river, braving the waves, and racing down the water slides. There were smiles and laughter all around! Before heading home, the class enjoyed a well-earned lunch and chatted about their favourite parts of the day. It was a fun-filled, memorable tour full of learning, adventure, and plenty of water fun!
