Third Class Takes Part in the Fighting Words “Change” Project!

Our third class had a wonderful creative experience this week taking part in the Fighting Words “Change” project, hosted by Graffiti Theatre.

Led by the brilliant Anne-Marie, the boys collaborated to write a class story, beginning with one shared idea. From there, each student continued the story in their own direction, creating 15 unique and imaginative versions! It was a fantastic opportunity for creativity, storytelling, and teamwork, and the boys really embraced the challenge.

We are proud to be one of eight DEIS schools in Cork taking part in this exciting project, which invites children to explore the theme of Change through story-making. The project supports the school curriculum’s aim of helping students understand and navigate an ever-changing world in a fun and creative way.

Each student will soon receive a printed version of the class story, complete with a beautiful illustration by Anne-Marie. Our story will also be available to read soon on the Fighting Words website, so be sure to keep an eye out!

The project will conclude with a live Zoom event, where all eight participating schools will come together to share and celebrate their stories. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity for students to connect, listen to each other’s work, and be inspired by the creativity of their peers.

Well done to all the boys for their enthusiasm, imagination and the amazing stories you’ve created!
