As past of the whole school ‘Skip Around the World’ Initiative, 5th class have been out with their skipping ropes each day. In this initiative, 1 skip = 1 kilometre travelled and the boys so far have collectively made it to Newgrange and the Sahara Desert, via Mount Blanc!!!
As well as improving our skipping skills and staying fit and active, it has helped us reinforce mathematical skills when tallying up our collective amount of skips as well as geography, history and ICT skills as the boys have begun PowerPoint projects on the destinations teachers so far.
Next stop the Pyramids of Giza!!!!
