Infants Visit Farran Wood

Today the boys in junior & senior infants visited Farran Wood. The boys had a great time exploring the forest and putting their lessons in school into action.

The boys were busy identifying signs of Autumn and deciding which trees were deciduous and which were evergreen. We found the old hunter’s lodge and tried to decide whether it was the bear’s house that Goldilock’s visited or the stone house from the Three Little Pigs.

The boys eagerly fed the deer some carrots and watched a family of ducks waddle around.

A trip to the wood wouldn’t be complete without a picnic and a bit of fun in the playground and for many of the boys this was the highlight!
