This week, our class had something very special to celebrate! A video created by one of our talented classmates was featured on RTÉ Juniors Instragram, in conjuction with ‘AsIAm’ Autism Ireland ,to promote their new ‘A Very Autistic Christmas ‘ podcast https://www.rte.ie/radio/podcasts/22566585-a-very-autistic-christmas-pt-1/
In his video, which he created in our classroom, Kayden shared his voice, his personality, and his festive spirit with children and families all across Ireland. Kayden scripted the video , came up with a set idea and also acted in it- his talents are boundless . He informs us of some wonderful and practical tips for making Christmas time more Autism friendly. He reminds us that everyone experiences the world and Christmas in their own unique ways and he highlights how we can help make Christmas a more inclusive time for people.
We already knew how kind, clever, creative, funny, and talented Kayden is, but watching him shine on screen made us so proud. Our class, our teachers and our school community, are incredibly proud of him for representing our school with confidence and positivity.
Well done for being yourself Kayden, for spreading awareness, and for helping others understand autism a little better—especially at such a magical time of year. You are a star in our classroom and now a star on RTÉ Junior too…..Next stop……Hollywood!
