Active Homework finishes with a bang!

A fantastic two weeks of Active Homework was celebrated this morning as Emmet in 5th class presented to the senior end about the work of our Active Schools committee and the importance of being physically active. It was a pleasant reminder to the boys of all the hard work they do engaging in various sports and initiatives throughout the year. We concluded with our raffle of prizes including soccer balls from the FAI, sliotars from the Cork Senior Hurling team and 2 signed jerseys from the Cork Senior Football & Hurling squads. Over 110 pupils entered over the course of the two weeks with some brilliant and creative ways of staying active during the dark, wintery evenings. Mr Byrne & Mr Collins would like to thank the parents, siblings and guardians for sending in all the submissions and hope the boys enjoyed working their way through the activities. We hope the boys continue to stay active and we will look to do a similar initiative at some stage in the New Year.
