With great excitement, our 5th class debate team of Ayaan, Jacob, Emmet, Muhammad and Caelan participated in their second debate of the year. After successfully proposing that Social Media Should be Banned for Under 16s, they now had to difficult challenge of proposing that the Weeknd Should be 3 Days long.
After weeks of research and practice involving the entire class, the boys engaged in a fantastic tussle with Conna National School. Unfortunately we came out on the wrong side of the judges decision on this occasion but we learned invaluable critical thinking and oratory skills throughout the year. We are so proud of the boys and can’t wait for next years competition.
