On 30th January, our two third classes proudly took part in a fantastic rugby blitz in Virgin Media Park , the perfect finale to several weeks of hard work and training.
Since before Christmas, both classes have been training every Tuesday with Gary, developing their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game. Over the weeks, the boys learned all about rugby, a fast-paced, exciting team sport that involves running with the ball, passing backwards, tagging, teamwork, communication, and respect for teammates and opponents.
Through their training sessions, the boys improved hugely in their passing technique, defensive positioning, support play, and overall game awareness. Most importantly, they showed fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork every single week.
A Great Day at the Blitz

The blitz brought everything together in a brilliant day of rugby against other schools. There was great skill on display, wonderful sportsmanship, and plenty of smiles. It was fantastic to see the boys put into practice everything they had learned over the previous weeks.
A huge thank you to Munster Rugby for supporting and promoting rugby in schools, and to Sunday’s Well RFC for their involvement and encouragement. We would especially like to thank all the volunteers who helped make the day such a success.
And a very special thank you to Gary, whose dedication, energy and encouragement over the past several weeks made such a positive impact on the boys. His coaching helped build not just rugby skills, but confidence and teamwork too.
Well done to both third classes on a great achievement, a truly memorable day for everyone involved!
