Third Class Enjoy a Spring Minibeast Hunt in the School Garden.

Spring has certainly sprung, and Ms Mc Gloin’s Third Class took full advantage of the beautiful weather Last Friday with an exciting minibeast and insect hunt in our school garden!

The class headed outside armed with magnifying glasses and plenty of curiosity. The children carefully explored the garden, looking under leaves, around flower beds, and along the paths to discover the many tiny creatures that call our garden home.

The pupils were delighted to find a variety of minibeasts, including worms, spiders, and plenty of woodlice (or fat pigs as some of the boys call them!). Everyone enjoyed observing the insects up close and learning about the important roles they play in our environment.

While exploring, the class also took some time to look at the plants beginning to grow in the garden. With spring in full bloom, the children noticed fresh green leaves, new shoots, and colourful flowers starting to appear. I

The boys felt very grateful to have such a beautiful garden in our school where they can explore nature, discover minibeasts, and observe plants growing and changing through the seasons. Being able to learn outdoors made the day even more special, and everyone enjoyed spending time in the sunshine!
