Last week 2nd class contacted MUTV in the hope that they would pass on our email to Denis Irwin. This local legend is a past pupil of Togher Boys’ school.
We could not believe it when Denis replied to us! He had kindly accepted our invite (thanks to the persuasion powers of a very helpful granddad) and arrived to our classroom door for an exclusive interview, hosted by David and Leon.
Denis spent time answering questions and sharing lovely childhood memories of his time growing up in Togher. He highlighted that hard work can make any dream come through.
He then visited the hall where he got a warm welcome from many other students. The boys loved meeting this local hero and we can not thank him enough for visiting these sporting enthusiastic.
A school memory has been created which will last a life time. Thank you Denis Irwin!!!
