Sixth Class enjoyed Junior Achievement lessons this week. Our volunteer was Stephen Knoop, a native of South Africa. We enjoyed the classes entitled ‘More than Money’ where we explored ways in which we might set up a business in the future. We look forward to implementing our ideas in secondary school.
Stephen regaled us with stories of Cape Town and as a follow-on during history class we studied Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. We really enjoyed the lessons and in the end we watched the movie ‘Long Walk to Freedom’. We now have a very good understanding of events in South Africa. We look forward to visiting there some day!e
Thank you Stephen for the very interesting and enjoyable classes. We had business lessons, geography lessons and history lessons all in one!
