The school has just received notice that we have achieved a Science Foundation Ireland Discover Science & Maths Award. We will be receiving our Plaque of STEM Excellence in June. The judges wrote, “Well done on all your great STEM work which was really well presented on your website. Great local investigation on water quality in the Lough. There was excellent use of technology and maths throughout your work with Excel Graphs. Congratulations on your gradduations from UCC and to the Green Schools Committee for banning plastic bottles.” We would like to thank all of the pupils and staff who worked so hard to achieve this award and this shows our commitment to STEM.
