Here are some games and tips to help your child learn the sounds and in time how to read.
- Where’s the letter- take the letters out of their folder and place them face up. Ask your child to point to the letter (s,a,t, etc, using the letter name and sound) as fast as they can.
- Tell me the letter- take the letters out of their folder and place them face up. Ask your child to tell you each letters sound and name.
- Take the pictures out of the folder ask your child what sound/letter does the picture start with.
- Find the letter! – All letters facing up. Say a word starting with one of the letters, i.e. shoe and ask the children to find the letter.
