Mr Collins’ 4th class have been learning all about engineering and all of their different contributions to society. This week we examined infrastructure and bridges and shelters in particular. After much research and discussion, we attempted to design our own bridges and birdhouses. To ensure that the bridges and bird houses were strong and stable, the boys had to plan and review their designs regularly. We had to use our knowledge of maths operations and fractions to measure our designs correctly.
