We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded the Green Schools Travel Flag! This is a great achievement for the whole school community and has a positive impact on our local environment!
We would like to say a big thank you to the Green Schools Committee, Ms Buckley, all the staff in Togher BNS, our parents and most importantly all the students who have made an extra effort to walk, cycle or scoot to school!
In particular we would like to thank our two 6th class Green Schools committee members, Shane and Ian. They were confident when presenting all the work we have done over the past number of years. Angela from Green Schools noted how impressed she was with the two of them!
Next year we will work towards achieving the Biodiversity Flag! Biodiversity looks at steps which can be taken in schools to increase awareness of the importance of native plants, animals and habitats, and to increase species-richness in a locality.
