Before Christmas, as part of the English curriculum, we learned about and practised the skills of letter/email writing. In order to demonstrate these skills, we all decided to compose our own letters and to send them to one of our very own Togher Boys, Ethon Varian.
Ethon is a past pupil of our school and several years ago, he travelled to the UK to pursue his dream of becoming a professional soccer player. He signed for Stoke City and following a string of successful campaigns at under 18/under 23 levels, he moved on to gain some invaluable experience at Senior level. Currently, he plays on loan at Raith Rovers in Scotland and has become a key member of their squad.
Having received the letters from the class, Ethon wanted to visit the students personally. Fortunately, the opportunity arose recently and we were all delighted to welcome him back home.

We would all like to sincerely thank Ethon for taking the time to drop in to us. We appreciate how busy he is and just how hard he works. At Togher Boys NS, we are all immensely proud of him. His visit will, undoubtedly, inspire our great students. Best of luck to Ethon and Raith Rovers for the rest of the season.
