Biodiversity all around us!

The boys in Suaimhneas have been busy this term learning all about ‘Biodiversity’. This term means the variety of plant and animal life that make up our natural world including humans. Biodiversity also looks at how plants, animals and humans work together and depend on each other to support life.

As part of the BioDive competition, the boys received sticker books which they filled with stickers of Ireland’s native species. We have explored our school garden and local community to identify these plants and animals and found lots of examples all around us.
