Fun at Fota

Ms Curran’s 2nd Class explored the habitats and ecology of Fota Wildlife Park, on their recent school tour. This woodland is home to many species, both native and exotic. Fota Wildlife has had great success in breeding a variety of species over the years, the most prolific being the cheetah. The cheetah of course is the oldest of Earth’s big cats and the fastest land animal in the world. Did you know that 238 cheetah cubs have been born at Fota since 1984? Fota is home to Ireland’s first and only Cheetah Run. The boys were lucky enough to witness sprinting cheetahs on their trip! Join us on our tour as we come face to face with so many amazing creatures from around the world!
