October in Senior Infants

What an amazing month we have had in Senior Infants. This term the boys have been concentrating on their letter formation and writing. I am so proud of the beautiful work the boys have been producing including the themes of Autumn, Halloween and our very own Ghosts and Goblins poem. The highlight of this month was most definitely our trip to Farran Woods. We had been learning all about different types of trees and we even used a leaf finder to identify which leaf belongs to which tree. Our walk took us along a beautiful path where we said hello to the beautiful deer and were lucky enough to be able to feed them too. We talked about the River Lee and even got to see the amazing rowing boats down by the water. Such fun was had at the playground and I must compliment the boys on their behaviour during the trip. Even the bus driver commented on what a lovely group of boys they were.

The boys have created some fantastic art pieces based on books read during this term, their favourite being Owl Babies and Room on the Broom. We ended our term with a fantastic Halloween fashion show where the boys showcased their frightful costumes. Well done boys on a fantastic term.
