We were very lucky to have the author Maria Burke at our school yesterday. She is a Cork teacher, artist and author of children’s books.
Maria visited the classes and read extracts from one of her books: The Ark Of Dun Ruah. Its about a horde of giant evil eagles.
She explained how her paintings of characters inspired her writing. Maria even brought one of the paintings to show us.
It was so interesting and exciting to listen to her talk. It was a great day.
