All the boys in Mr Wilson’s class had great fun exploring, listening, and even playing music!
For the past few weeks, the boys have been learning all about famous Irish musicians like Christy Moore, and Cork’s own Jimmy Crowley and John Spillane!
Mr Wilson brought in his guitar and bouzouki, and the boys played along with boomwhackers, triangles, shakers, and xylophones!
The boys explored tempo, pitch, and the historical significance of many songs! We even wrote and performed our own musical composition! We learned a huge variety of songs like An Maidrín Rua, The Doll In Cash’s Window, and The Coal Quay Market.
Check out some photos and videos from one of our performances! We had so much fun!
