Senior Infants were learning all about the Renaissance this week! They learned how people began to appreciate art, and how artists were supported by patrons to create beautiful pieces of art!
The boys were impressed by the quality and decadence of the statues, paintings, and buildings that we looked at!
We learned all about the famous artist Michelangelo, and how he painted the roof of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. The boys couldn’t believe how he painted it while lying on his back!
Everyone got a surprise when Mr Wilson told the boys to check under their table! There, they found pages attached to the bottom of their tables! We all tried our best at creating artwork while lying on our backs! It was great fun!
