Ms O’Connor’s 4th Class boys have been busy carving out pumpkins to make Jack-o-Lanterns for Halloween. A couple of little known facts we learned about the pumpkin are that it’s not actually a vegetable but a fruit, and that the word ‘pumpkin’ comes from the Greek word, pepon, which means a “large melon.” We hope you like the end result..
