After a two year absence, we were finally able to welcome back the Lord Mayor of Cork, Deirdre Forde, to Togher Boys NS. The boys were delighted to meet the Lord Mayor and loved learning about the history of the Chain of Office. Mason Gabriel was presented with a certificate of perfect attendance in school by the Lord Mayor. Well done to Mason! The boys performed a lovely rendition of Báidín Fheilimí and the Lord Mayor suggested that they get homework off for their efforts. The boys were delighted with this suggestion and are already looking forward to next year’s visit.
