Last week we celebrated anti-bullying week. It was great seeing all the boys celebrating differences with their ‘Odd Socks’.
The purpose of the week was to raise awareness of bullying, what we can do to prevent it and what to do if it happens.
A major part of our efforts to prevent bullying is our school’s anti-bullying policy. During anti-bullying week, staff, the Parent’s Association Committee and students from 5th & 6th class reviewed the policy. A copy is available on the school website.
As a school we take bullying very seriously and make best efforts to promote a positive school environment. Early intervention is vital to stop a serious incident occurring. We encourage parents to bring any concerns to the school as soon as possible.
