Togher Tidy Towns and Sixth Class.

Tidy Towns Togher have unveiled their new mural which is situated in The Avenue ,off the Main Street behind Centra. Last year students from Togher Boys’ School were invited to submit drawings and the final design of the mural was chosen from those drawings. The mural was painted by Kevin O Brien who has also done some beautiful work for us in the school. On Wednesday last our sixth class boys planted seven Holly trees, collected seven kilograms of litter in the area and kitted out a new bug hotel made by a Tidy Towns volunteer. We are also in the process of erecting a similar bug hotel in our school garden.

The boys had a fantastic morning working in the community and we are very grateful to Carolyn Miller and all the Tidy Towns volunteers for the amazing experience. We would encourage all families to visit The Avenue and admire the beautiful work.

It was a very proud moment for our student Seán O’ Sullivan to see his fantastic artwork on the mural.

Well done to all involved.
