Ms. O’Donoghue and Ms. Mangan’s classes recently enjoyed a wonderful day out in Mallow filled with fun, adventure, and plenty of fresh air!
Our first stop was Little Rascals Indoor Play Area, where everyone had a fantastic time exploring the play equipment, climbing, sliding, and enjoying activities with friends. The sensory room was a particular highlight, providing a calm and engaging space for pupils to relax and explore different sensory experiences.
After an exciting morning of play, we stopped at SuperValu to pick up our lunches. The pupils were delighted to choose their picnic treats and practised excellent manners while shopping.
Next, we travelled to Mallow Castle. The beautiful grounds provided the perfect setting for our picnic lunch. The sun shone as we enjoyed our food together and took in the lovely surroundings and learned the history of the area. One of the most exciting parts of the day was spotting the famous White Deer herd- one of only two in Ireland! The pupils were thrilled to see these beautiful animals up close and learned about their special connection to Mallow Castle.
Following lunch, everyone had great fun exploring the very impressive playground. We all especially enjoy the ‘zipline!’
It was a memorable day filled with laughter, friendship, and new experiences. We are very proud of all the pupils for their excellent behaviour throughout the trip. A big thank you to Garda Kate for being our chauffeur for the day and for allowing us to make such special memories!
