Since the COVID restrictions, we have renewed our focus on exploring the history and geography of our surrounding area. Each year, classes from infants to 6th have set out on foot to explore the infinite wonders at our doorstep. As proud Active School in Cork, what better way to tie in local studies with continuous exercise. Our feet have taken us to The Lough, Waterstones, St Finbarrs Cemetery, Clashduv Park, Cork City Gaol, St Finbarrs Cathedral and Fitzgeralds Park amongst many others.
Our first trip for the senior classes this year saw the boys walk over 7km as they visited Nano Nagle Centre, the City Centre and the Lough. What a great day out!
