Third Class had a fantastic time taking part in an interactive workshop with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) today.
The boys learned all about energy and sustainability and explored the different ways we use energy in our everyday lives. They also discussed the importance of using energy wisely and considered some of the simple changes we can make to help protect our environment.
The workshop provided a fun and engaging opportunity for the boys to build on their learning in Science and develop a greater understanding of renewable energy and how our choices can make a difference.
A particular highlight was an exciting experiment involving an Alka-Seltzer tablet inside a sealed container. The boys watched with great anticipation as pressure built up before the container suddenly popped! This provided a fun and memorable demonstration of energy in action and helped the boys make connections with how energy works in the world around us and within our own bodies.
There was plenty of enthusiasm, participation and interesting questions throughout the session!
