Sixth class science experiment.

This week we undertook a science experiment to investigate how the height of a ramp determines how far a vehicle will travel.

We found that the higher the ramp, the further the car will travel. This increase was greatest when the height was increased from 10cm to 15cm and it levelled out with further increases in height. We discovered that there was a non linear relationship between the height of the ramp and the distance travelled. We could not apply a constant ratio to the experiment.

When conducting the experiment we used the same dinky car and all the factors were kept constant. We had great fun working in our pods and later we had a discussion about how some dinky cars were more aerodynamic than others.
