Safer Internet Day 8/2/22

Safer internet day takes place on the 8th of February this year. In preparation for this the boys have been learning about how to be safer online. While the internet is a fantastic tool for learning and communication, it’s important we familiarise ourselves with some of the risks associated with it. The boys have been learning about cyberbullying, misinformation online (fake news), online advertising, how to be respectful when communicating online, who we can trust/block and what to do when we encounter something inappropriate or upsetting. Some of our advice for you is to STOP, THINK,CHECK when searching for information and STOP, BLOCK, TELL when someone is being unkind online. There’s lots we can do to be safer online, check out the Webwise website to learn more https://www.webwise.ie/
